Letting Go Of Yourself, Why It Is A MUST

It’s Time to Thank the Old You

and Then Let Them Go

Theo Von explained a feeling i’ve never been able to put into words

It resonated deep.. He said -

“I feel like if I do good, I’ll be abandoning a part of myself that was always there for me..

Like I’d be abandoning him when he was always there for me..”

Most times the heartbroken version of ourselves

The scrappy broke version of ourselves

The indulgent overweight version of ourselves -

is the version we hold on to so tight because when we we’re in that deep dark place..

They’re all we had.

They kept things predictable..

They kept us safe..

They we’re our comfort and our sense of purpose amid the chaos.

& trust me, I fucking get it..

But its the harsh truth that the more successful, most fulfilled, healthiest, loving, nurturing, abundant version of ourselves

has to also let go of the version of us we are today.

We’ve got to learn to let go.

So if you're feeling that tension,

that ache of letting go of the version of you who once held it all together,

know this: you're not abandoning them.

They’re there. They’ll always be there.

You're honoring them by choosing to grow. You’re taking their resilience, their lessons, their heart, and carrying it forward into something greater.

Transformation isn't betrayal

The next version of you isn’t abandonment

It’s a tribute. A thank you. A promise that their fight wasn’t for nothing.

You’re allowed to outgrow the you that kept you safe.

Letting go isn’t the end… it’s the beginning of everything you’ve been fighting for.

Step forward.

Let go.

You’re ready.
