In all my time being here,

I’ve never seen LA under attack like this past year

Furthering the divide and ripping at the seams

All while being promised that we’re in this “together”

The only other time I can think of, is 1969

The golden age of Hollywood..

When celebrities lived among us and left their doors unlocked

When the only Hollywood beef was between Cowboys and Indians

When hippies hitchhiked rides with A-listers..

Before extremists forced them back the other way..

Destroying the trust amongst ourselves..

There is real hope

But it has to come from the inside..

I don’t care if it takes a lifetime..

When it comes to California, we’ll rebuild it ourselves..

If you want goodness to be abundant, it’s not going to come from anybody else,

nobody’s coming to make it better,

it starts from you and me..

Let’s put out what we want to see in the world, TOGETHER..

I can only think, back then, they must’ve had the same thoughts we have..
